Bloxels is a hands-on platform for students to build, collaborate, and tell stories through video game creation. Students use design thinking to code, play, share, and collaborate with their peers. How to Begin:
Step 1. Empathize-Gather information about what others have created.
Open up this Bloxels document. On your device, head to the Bloxels website: edu.bloxelsbuilder.com/
- Click the "PLAY" button
- Click "PLAY NOW ON THE WEB"
- GO TO ARCADE
Step 2. Define and Ideate (3 parts)
Decide on a story for your game. Make it interesting. You will need to come up with your own hero, enemy, environment and collectible. If you are having trouble coming up with your own idea, you can use your teacher's deck of story builder cards. Just ask!
Fill out part 2 of your Bloxels document. Share this document with Mrs. Stahl, then she will make you a Bloxels account.
Step 3. Sign into your account.
Go to build.bloxels.co/. Your class code is K9VAGB. Follow the directions to finish creating your account.
Step 4. Learn the ProgramWatch some of the videos on Bloxel's Youtube channel....they will help you get started.

Step 5. Prototype
Now that you have watched some of the videos, it's time to build your game.
Requirements:
Requirements:
- Need to add 1 custom made hero with multiple areas of animation.
- Need to add 1 custom made enemy with multiple areas of animation.
- Decorate your background and blocks based on your what your environment looks like. Feel free to use the included asset packs.
- Need at least 4 story blocks that help tell your story. They should give information that is relevant to your game and help the player learn more about the world they are traveling through.
- Game should end with an "end flag" white block.
Step 6. Test & Publish
When you are finished building your game, ask your teacher for the play testing document. Follow the directions on it and turn it in when finished.
