What is CodeCombat?
CodeCombat is a coding game that uses real typed code and personalized learning to teach computer science. Students will play through levels and quickly master programming concepts. CodeCombat uses typed code, not drag-and-drop blocks. This allows students to solve problems however they see fit. Standards addressed in CSTA: 1A-AP-10, CCSS.Math.Practice.MP1, CCSS.Math.Practice.MP2, CCSS.Math.Practice.MP6.
Objectives:
Students will be able to write a correctly formatted algorithm in Python.
Students will pass variables and strings into methods as arguments.
Students will use loops to reduce the lines of written code.
Students will use variables to construct a conditional and choose and evaluate expressions.
